Lot 46: At first glance there appeared to be restoration to the neck, however on looking again it seems that the varied ground colours are consistent with the rest of the vase so conclude that the vase is free from restoration. The whole finish is a little crude, the tube lining whilst good on the whole has areas that do not come up to the expected standard. The ground colour is patchy throughout particularly with regard to the neck interior. However the base looks right, the marks and signs of wear are what would be expected and overall the vase looks to have age, a difficult one to call. See more photographs. No roughness to interior or exterior paintwork.
